PERFORMANCE FESTIVAL AT VELFERDEN, August 27th, 2016.
____ //// /o/o/o The mouth expresses thoughts. The landscape renders its tone!! is a multidisciplinary art project taking place in Denmark, Norway and Sweden in 2016 and 2017. It invites performance artist and musicians to develop site-specific works that engage with the heritage of fluxus artist Henning Christiansen. The project was first shown at Kunsthal 44 in June 2016, on Møen in Denmark, surrounded by cornfields and idyllic thatched cottages. On the 27th of August 2016, the project traveled to a whole other context; to that of the postindustrial landscape that surrounds Velferden. Together with Henning Christiansen´s video "The wandering voice" (1991), we could experience performances by :
Linda Persson
Sven-Åke Johansson
Camille Norment
Arturas Bumsteinas
LOL Beslutning
Curator and arthistorian Nico Anklam (DE) has together with Mai Dengsøe Hansen (DK), formulated this interdisciplinary performance project based on a text by Henning Christiansen from 2000 called The mouth expresses thoughts. The landscape renders its tone!!. The text describes how the sound of the scandinavian languages have derived from the geological features of the different countries; the flat fields and islands of Denmark, the lakes and woods of Sweden, and the steep fjord and mountainsides of Norway. The text ends with a pictorial representation of the three soundscapes, and this image constitute the title of the project: ____ //// 0/0/0.

X-MAS METAL AT VELFERDEN
Velferden presented an atmospheric one-night-only pre-xmas concert by the local band Gravecunt, and video projections by Maiken Stene. The loud sound of Drone Metal, enshrouded by an improvised colour-sparkling light show, filled the ballroom as the audience gorged on Gløgg and ginger cookies.
GRAVECUNT:
Marius Solli (Haua) - guitar
Rasmus Henriksen (Egersund) - drums
Stian Henriksen (Egersund) - bass
Tom Richard Byberg (Tjelta) - keyboard

VELFERDEN ON THE ROAD TO STÄLLBERG GRUVA (SE).
SPONTANMETALLURGISK ELEKTROAKUSTIK
